My Dear Parishioners,
A Blessed Happy New Year!
As we begin our New Year, the March for Life will not be sponsored by the Diocese this year because of the Pandemic.
Here are our events for January:
We are encouraged to Pray the Rosary to end Abortion all month long. Bishop O’Connell invites us to join him in Praying the rosary daily for the intention of ending abortion in our nation until January 29, 2021.
January 14-22: Please Pray!
The Diocese of Trenton Novena to St. Joseph to end Abortion.
St. Joseph, Patron of the Universal Church and Guardian of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Child Jesus, the Son of God whom she carried in her Immaculate womb: intercede for us, that all recourse to abortion might cease in our nation and our world. As you cared for Mother and Child, care for all the women who bear the gift of life in their womb. May no harm ever endanger them and may no choice ever threaten the blessing of human life that God has created within. Guard them with your loving protection, at every moment, until his will has been fulfilled. St. Joseph, the spouse of Mary and Foster Father of the Lord, help us to build a culture of life that yields a civilization of love among us.
Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be…
January 22, 2021: All New Jersey Dioceses Day of Prayer and Fasting to end Abortion.
January 22, 2021: 48th Anniversary of Roe v. Wade Mass will be celebrated for the legal Protection of the unborn in the Parishes.
Mass will also be celebrated at the Cathedral at 9:30 am.
As we continue in the Pandemic, I pray you will be safe, healthy and Blessed as we live through this unusual time.
Blessings,
Fr. Pfleger
January 7, 2021
My Dear Parishioners,
Blessings for the New Year!
Up until December 31, 2020 we had hoped that 2021 would be a much better year. So far it hasn’t worked out. Complications from the virus, some people not following the guidelines from the medical experts and now the utterly shameful actions in our country’s capital have given us a frightening vision of what our future might bring. What else can go wrong?
Now is not the time to give up hope. The vast majority of our people are still good, faithful and law-abiding citizens. Sometimes we only want to see the evil in the world and not look for all the good. Our God is still active in the world but He still wants us to be active in making His Good present in the world.
Remember, we are only alone when we don’t recognize that God is always with us. In this the Year of Saint Joseph, let us continue to look for the positive and live like we are truly the children of God.
I Pray that with God’s strength we can change the small part of the world we live in for the best and help it to grow throughout the entire world.
A Happy, Healthy and Blessed New Year!
